IT Skills Pyramid
The IT Competency Model lists the skills (competencies) required to build your IT career. The first three tiers - personal effectiveness, academic competencies, and workplace competencies - are the essential transferrable skills needed for success in any career, including IT. Tier 4 is specific to the IT industry. These four foundational tiers are thoroughly explained in the framework. Make a list of the skills you have and those you need to acquire. The list can guide your decision about what education and experience will most benefit you.
